Job title: Deputy Organization DirectorUnit: Organization Support – Finance, HR, AdminReports to: Chief Executive OfficerLocation: BangalorePurpose of jobDeputy Organizational Director is responsible for the overall Financial Management, Human Resource, Operations,Admin of the organization. This is a strategic leadership role reporting to the CEO.Main dutiesFinancial Management ● Meeting with regulatory compliance with respect to Financial operations ● Oversee external consultant and internal team to produce all financial reporting and reconciliation activities of the organization including all month-end and year-end close. ● Provide support in annual budgeting and planning process to the CEO; administer and review financial plans and budgets in consultation with CEO ● Main liaison with independent auditors to ensure a successful year-end audit. ● Responsible for the profit and loss statement. ● Accountable for delivery of best practices in financial management ● Periodically provide recommendations for improving processes and policies ● oversee the finance team’s relationship with banks and and maintain applicable compliant financial policies, procedures and operations. Human Resources ● Oversee all human resource functions including payroll, new employee on-boarding, compensation, benefits management, legal compliance and staff reviews. ● Ensure that recruiting processes are consistent and streamlined. ● Responsible for statutory and compliance requirement for the org ● Establish and manage a comprehensive training program for graded employees to educate employees regarding staff tools, policies and procedures in close collaboration with L&D manager ● Bring initiatives to establish the culture of trust, teamwork, and an organizational culture based on our values and JEDIS principles. Administration ● Oversee administrative functions as well as facilities to ensure efficient and consistent operations as the organization scales. ● Work closely and transparently with all external partners including third-party vendors and consultants. ● Oversee external IT vendors and ensure proper technology for DDII’s operations is in place. ● Oversee development and management of contracts, insurance and serve as the main liaison with the legal advisors. ● leadership and Management Responsibilities ● Manage the day-to-day office and business operations to assure quality in all aspects of administration, finance, and human resources. ● Lead strategic vision of the organizational department in consultation with OD and CEO ● Lead the administration of the department, including work plans and evaluations, budgets and personnel-related issues. ● Guide department with an emphasis on team-building and a creative, collaborative approach. ● Manage the direct reportees’ workload, annual PMS and responsibility delegations DecisionsThe role holder- has authority to take decisions regarding the operational functioning of all the support functions and it’s various strands and strategic decision with OD and CEO's consultation- is expected to follow organisational policies and process related to fundraising, finance, admin and HR to effectively manage the unit ContactsList the main internal and external contacts that the job-holder has in their normal course of work and the main purpose of these contacts. Working relationships ResourcesFinancial: Responsible for managing and overseeing the expenditure budget of the various strands under this rolePeople: Direct line management responsibility for the managers in the unit, providing leadership support to the managers in discharging their people function.Physical:

Applied knowledge and skill ● At least 7-10 years’ experience in the Organisational Development functions - a good understanding of Finance with good knowledge of HR. ● Ability to translate financial concepts to – and to effectively collaborate with management and fundraising colleagues who do not necessarily have finance backgrounds ● Technology savvy with experience selecting and overseeing software installations and managing relationships with software vendors; knowledge of accounting and reporting software ● Strong preference for formal management qualifications –like (MBA- General Management/Finance/HR/CA/CS). ● Ability to process highly significant data and use that for strategic decision making ● Ability to lead a large and complex team ● Strong results orientationDemonstrated experience in leading, coaching and managing people – valuing cooperation and collaboration amongst team membersDemonstrated skills and experience in managing departmental communications as a senior leaderUnderstanding and accepting the values and principles of DDIIOrganisation Skills Planning and organising:Develops or supports development of long-term and short-term plans for the whole unit, different strands in the unit and the organisation. Analysis:The role holder is expected to undertake complex analysis and reporting of performance of the unit against targets and advice corrective action. The role holder is expected to coach managers to resolve day-to-day operational problems to ensure smooth functioning of each strand or office. Innovation and initiative:The role holder is expected to identify and implement best practices to improve productivity of the function. Work environmentThe role holder is expected to travel regularly to field offices across the country?
