Role And Responsibilities - As the Business Unit Head, you will be responsible for leading and managing a business unit within our organization.
- Your main duties include:
- Developing and implementing a strategic plan that aligns with the company's objectives and meets customer needs.
- Building and nurturing a high-performing team, fostering a cooperative and supportive work environment.
- Staying updated on industry trends, competitor strategies, and customer preferences to inform your team's direction and strategy.
- Collaborating with marketing and sales teams to create and execute effective promotional strategies.
- Monitoring the financial health of your business unit, including budget oversight and tracking revenue and expenses.
- Leading and motivating your team to achieve targets and deliver exceptional results.
Candidate Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Master's degree or MBA preferred.
- A minimum of 12-16 years of experience in product or category management.
- Previous experience in the publishing industry is a plus.
- Proven track record in successfully managing all aspects of a product throughout its lifecycle.
- Strong understanding of the educational publishing landscape and the specific needs of the assigned category.
- Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and unite teams.
- Effective communication skills to convey the vision and direction.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in market analysis and financial management.
