Position: NC Programmer
Division: Engineering
Department: CAM
Reports to: Team lead
I. POSITION OBJECTIVES
To support CAM Activities for the existing customer on Generation of NC Programming in Catia
V5 and Verification in Vericut.
II. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY
1. Collaborate with senior engineers to Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs using CATIA
V5 software to control various CNC Milling machines for the production of parts and components.
2. Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and materials for each machining project to achieve the
desired results while minimizing waste.
3. Continuously identify opportunities to improve machining processes, reduce cycle times, and
enhance overall productivity.
4. Create setup sheets and Tool list which helps the Operator for work-piece loading and fixture
setup.
5. Post Process and verify programs simulating in Vericut.
III. QUALIFICATION
1. STUDIES: DIPLOMA / B.E / B Tech in Mechanical.
2. EXPERIENCE: 3-5 yrs.
3. KNOWLEDGE:
• Hands-on experience in CNC programming using CATIA V5 software and Vericut.
• In-depth knowledge of machining processes, tooling, and materials
• Shop-floor experience is added advantage.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge on CNC machine operation and setups
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
4. ABILITIES AND SKILLS:
• Good communication skill.
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of CAM software like Mastercam, Siemens NX will be an added advantage.
