Airbus Innovation Centre - India & South Asia:
Airbus Innovation Centre - India & South Asia is responsible for industrializing disruptive technologies by tapping into the strong engineering competencies centre while also leveraging and co-creating with the vibrant external ecosystems such as big Tech Enterprises, mature startups/MSMEs, national labs & universities and strategic partners (customers, suppliers etc.)
The technology areas that the Innovation Centre focus on are - Artificial Intelligence, Industrial Automation, Unmanned Air Systems, Connectivity, Space Tech, Autonomy, Decarbonization Technologies etc. among others.
Airbus Innovation Centre in India is 1 among 3 Innovation Centres globally for Airbus with a strong focus on A.I. and Digital Engineering. We build products from the ground up with the help of stakeholders from within Engineering and Digital competence centres (in addition to the external stakeholders mentioned above) to deliver operational excellence and contribute to the Innovation & Technology roadmap of the organization.
Job Objectives
Facilitate and leverage technology sourcing and Intelligence by gathering and evaluating information in the field of science and technology from defined scouting needs that come inward as requests from teams within Airbus(Pull), or providing this insight from external information that you gather from your research(Push). Countries to cover: INDIA/INTERNATIONAL
Responsibilities
Manage and grow a portfolio of scouting topics
Ensure clear and robust definition of needs agreed with internal stakeholder
Identify and Manage external scouting and sourcing partners in the region
Identify partners with relevant capabilities who can help you in your work with the support of subject matter experts
Build and maintain a strong relationship and network with key research institutions and all relevant key players in the technical domain
Prepare reports addressing scouting and customer needs, and prepare technology trend heatmaps for the region
Facilitate projects initiation, monitoring, and closure in coordination with internal customers and R&T Support
Attend relevant workshops and conferences that enables identifying trends and technologies of the region
General

Professional experience & skills
Possess relevant technical knowledge (AI, battery tech, industrial automation, connectivity, autonomy, Space Tech etc.). A specific attention will be granted to AI technical competences as a game changer in our industry. When looking at AI Technology, the market segmentation is structured around 3 main pillars: machine learning (incl. deep learning), NLP (Natural Language Processing), and Computer Vision. Dealing with Aerospace verticals, Airbus priorities are focussing on adaptable AI, trustworthy AI, image generation, and AI in decision making. Any experience and specific knowledge on one or more of these challenges will be an added advantage.
Track record of creating and nurturing new partnerships
Passion for new technologies and technical acumen to evaluate their relevance
Advanced Degree in aerospace AND innovation
Working experiences in scouting and/or business intelligence
Good verbal and written communication skills in English
Awareness of IP and legal issues when dealing with partners
