PURPOSE OF ROLE
The Finance Transformation organisation is responsible for the End to End Finance processes at APM Terminals, ensuring we are defining our WoW by taking into consideration business requirements and that we are building a world class user experiences and customer journeys.
It's ultimately the Insights Product Manager the one responsible to implement the data products that support mentioned processes (KPI tracking, decision making, automation, process mining, forecasting….). Besides, he/she provides his/her expertise on business, source systems and technology to ensure best in class products are developed and provides also future vision on the same.
The new role will assist Insights Product Manager on all above. This to be, mainly, achieved by:
Provide advice and decision support to Insights Product Manager in every aspect of the process landscape his/her role covers.
Analyse new data analytics requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
Implement, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance technical requirements.
Identify automation, simplification, standardization, and improvement opportunities across the process.
Form part of a Data Analytics network that harnesses subject matter expert knowledge of our data products and ensure best practices
Principal Accountabilities REQUIREMENTS GATHERING AND IMPLEMENTATION
- Support Insights Product Manager on engaging stakeholders to translate business objectives into understandable feature and story acceptance criteria. Present findings, recommendations, and project updates to various audiences.
- Implement, test, and deploy business needs in accordance with the Agile framework, having E2E knowledge of the solution and being able to maintain and further improve it.
- Maintain an up-to-date documentation on the technical solution, SOPs for BAU when applicable.
DATA ANALYSIS & MANAGEMENT
- Analyze and interpret data to provide insights and support decision-making.
- Having E2E knowledge of existing data products, from data injection till final dashboards, including deep understanding of source systems, data model, dimensions and KPIs.
CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
- Support Insights Product Manager on creating a vision for BI products, working collaboratively with other teams, and accelerating company-wide transformation towards adoption of data & analytics products.
- Provide consulting on reactive, proactive and enhancement support services, as well as testing services to one or many applications.
- Work closely with the business to identify opportunities to improve processes and reducing waste from existing process landscape.
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies that may improve existing products via continuous learning and collaboration with technical teams.
- Propose and implement continuous improvement initiatives within the business analysis process, including process mining, automation, and data science.
REPORTING AND SCOPE The position reports to Insights Product Manager.
Important stakeholders are BPOs, FPOs, BPEs in all functions, IT, GRC and terminal Key Users.
Scope: Global with travels from time to time
Location: Pune GSC or Tangier TBC (location to be confirmed)
Critical Qualifications/Skills/Experience - Graduate / Post-Graduate in Mathematics, Business Administration, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- 7+ years' experience in Business Analytics and/or Data Specialist and/or Data Scientist
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Initiative and responsibility - Willingness to act pro-actively by identifying opportunities and anticipating changes.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
- Advanced SQL knowledge (Oracle and SQL Server) and data modelling
- Data injection tools, Azure Databricks, Azure Analysis Services
- Process mining and automation tools
- Power BI and Data visualization
- Machine Learning and AI
- Awareness of Lean tools would be added advantage.
