Job description
# Work closely with the manufacturing team to understand needs and maintain a harmonious relationship while delivering results.
# Analyze, develop, and implement manufacturing operation sequences, specifications, and equipment requirements for new and existing product production/assembly.
# Serve as a key player in new product development teams, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
# Demonstrate a thorough understanding of GD&T, Tolerance stack-up, Engineering Material properties, DFM concepts, ergonomics, and Poka-yokes when proposing changes to manufacturing setups or designing new manufacturing lines.
# Implement Manufacturing Flow Charts, Standard Work, procedures, Control Plans, and FMEAs in compliance with ISO standards and Idea Forge Standards.
# Implement Equipment Qualification/Process Qualification processes and ensure periodic tooling validation on assembly cells.
# Prepare process feasibility studies and process flow diagrams.
# Conceptualize, design, and develop efficient jigs and fixtures, preferably with automation.
# Conduct tool trials, establish production and assembly processes, and actively participate in new assembly line setups and layout changes.
# Conduct cost analysis to determine the feasibility of proposed changes and review alternatives to reduce costs without sacrificing quality.
# Identify equipment suppliers, obtain quotes, assess technical capabilities, and finalize suppliers based on product trials and justification.
# Implement changes and improvements using the ECN process and actively participate in customer audits, process audits, and Quality System audits.
# Handle customer concerns and lead DEMIC analysis, addressing issues promptly.
# Conduct effective Process Audits based on customer requirements.
# Apply hands-on experience in problem-solving tools such as 5W-1H, 5-Why, and troubleshooting processes.
# Utilize a good acumen towards MSA when required for proving measurement systems.
# Demonstrate proficiency in basic drafting software such as AutoCAD.
