Job description
Role & Responsibilities:
Strategic Procurement Leadership:
- Develop and lead the company's procurement strategy, policies, and best practices
- Align procurement goals with the organization's strategic objectives
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement within the procurement function
Supplier Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and manage strategic relationships with key suppliers, fostering collaboration and driving performance
- Negotiate high-value contracts and agreements with suppliers
- Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, adherence to SLAs, and contract compliance
Cost Management and Savings:
- Develop and execute comprehensive cost management strategies, aiming to optimize costs and improve profitability
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and oversee cost reduction initiatives
- Manage procurement budgets and track cost savings
Strategic Sourcing:
- Oversee the sourcing and procurement process across all categories
- Implement strategic sourcing initiatives to ensure the best value for goods and services
- Drive supplier diversity and sustainability efforts
Risk Management:
- Identify and assess procurement-related risks; develop strategies to mitigate potential disruptions
- Establish and maintain contingency plans for supply chain disruptions
- Stay informed about industry trends and market conditions to proactively address risks
Team Leadership and Development:
- Manage and mentor a team of procurement professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation
- Provide guidance and support in executing procurement initiatives
Promote professional development and growth within the team
Contract Management:
- Oversee the end-to-end contract management process, ensuring all contracts comply with legal and regulatory requirements
- Negotiate, review, and approve contracts for large-scale projects and partnerships
Reporting and Analytics:
- Maintain comprehensive records of procurement transactions, contracts, and cost-related data
- Generate regular reports on procurement performance, cost analysis, and savings achieved
- Use data analytics to drive informed decision-making and process improvement
Must Haves:
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
- Analytical mindset with a keen attention to detail
- Proficiency in contract management and legal compliance
Experience and Skills:
- Minimum 18 years of track record of leadership and achievement in sourcing & procurement
- In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, negotiation strategies, and cost analysis techniques
- Engineering or Bachelor's/ Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Finance, Supply chain management, or a related field
