Job Title: Technical Product Manager - Novel Food Products

The Role: As a Technical Product Manager for Novel Food Products, you will lead the development of innovative nutrition bars and snack formats designed for the Indian palate. This role is a blend of technical expertise, market research, customer engagement, and product innovation. You will work closely with food scientists, marketing teams, and customers to bring novel snack options to market that are both healthy and culturally resonant. Responsibilities: Product Development & Innovation: Work with cross-functional teams to design, prototype, and test novel nutrition bars and snacks. Apply the latest in food science and technology to develop products that are nutritious, delicious, and meet the specific dietary needs and preferences of the Indian market. Market Research & Consumer Insights: Conduct in-depth market research to identify trends, preferences, and gaps in the snack food market in India. Engage directly with customers through surveys, focus groups, and field research to gain real insights into their needs and preferences. Strategy & Planning: Develop product strategies that align with the company’s vision and market opportunities. Create comprehensive roadmaps from concept to launch, including timelines, milestones, and budgeting. Collaboration & Leadership: Collaborate with internal teams, including R&D, marketing, sales, and supply chain, to ensure product success. Lead through influence, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. Quality & Compliance: Ensure all products meet the highest standards of quality and comply with local food safety and regulatory requirements. Keep abreast of regulatory changes and adapt product development processes accordingly. Customer Engagement & Feedback: Implement strategies for ongoing customer engagement to gather feedback on existing products and ideas for new ones. Use customer insights to iterate and improve product offerings continuously. Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or PhD in Food Science, Nutrition, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in product development, preferably in the food industry, with a focus on nutrition bars, snacks, or related products. Would prefer experience in the area of millet and grains Strong understanding of the Indian food market, consumer preferences, and nutritional needs. Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and projects. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with customers and internal teams.
