SBU Head for
Garment Unit - 1,20,000-1,30,000 pcs/ month Essentials: Graduate or master's degree in Engineering/Fashion technology, Finance, or management Experience in export oriented garment business Key Competencies Leadership and team development Implementing world class systems and quality standards Excellent Interpersonal skills Proven ability in enhancing productivity, Able to embrace innovation, challenge the status quo, and drive change. Self starter with go getter attitude, ability to be self-directed while working under tight deadlines Good Financial and commercial acumen Over 15 to 20 years of working experience in the garment or shoe manufacturing industry, with a minimum of 10 years of management experience in large & medium-sized factories. Solid knowledge/skill in Woven garment production for European and US customers. Experience in Jackets or outerwear garments will be an added advantage. Mature, strong leadership, problem solver, and good interpersonal skills. A good command of English is important, Pro-active (engaging & impact-oriented) mindset. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with different international cultures Able to embrace innovation, challenge the status quo, and drive change. Job description: •Act as the business owner and take control of the business with full P&L responsibility, identifying business opportunities and risks. •Ensure continuous improvement in manufacturing efficiency and effectiveness through optimum cost control and maximize manpower. •Develop and monitor the long/short-term business plan with strategies and execution. •Cultivate team building culture, maintain stable industrial/union relations & resolve conflicts in the workplace. •Maintain and foster close relationships with relevant government authorities. •Coordinate with departmental leaders from knitting, dyeing, and printing to deliver satisfactory outcomes of the production output. •Drive the continuous growth and expansion of the business by bringing in new ideas and innovations to expand the product/textile solution range on the management and operation side. •He must Provide management and administration of the plant Production Control and deliver P&L goals. •Conduct regular meetings with the team to drive performance improvement and increase levels of engagement. •Meeting shipping schedules. •Ensure the awareness of industry changes new technology, and equipment. systems, and procedures as they relate to improving the different value streams. •Must lead, facilitate, and train employees in world-class manufacturing techniques/standards. • Must spearhead the entire operations of plant activities as per the goal of the organization. •Should be able to provide technical inputs for root cause analysis and corrective action and able to develop a Continuous Improvement plan. •Able to lead capacity planning, productivity improvement, and process improvement. •Must be capable of creating the “best practice” processes with ideal cost. Shall be able to direct Manufacturing Engineering Technicians on their assigned lines in the observation of machine and line performance and guide the determination of the necessary steps to achieve optimum machine and process efficiency. •Interface with Line Supervisors, Machine Support managers, and Industrial engineers to determine corrective actions needed to optimize plant efficiency and effectiveness (yields). •Create, document, and implement procedures that ensure continued process excellence throughout the plant(s). •Able to deliver > or equal to 75% efficiency (Packed cartons) and Location: Chandipur, Near: Ghatakpukur (24Pgs-S) - Greater KolkataJob tags
