Job description

*Overview:*

Makoons Play School is a preschool located in Ghaziabad, run by a group of childhood education professionals. Our modern and beautiful facilities provide children with the ability to learn and grow physically, cognitively, socially & emotionally. We are seeking an experienced and passionate Academic Head to lead our play school's educational programs and curriculum development. The Academic Head will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of academic excellence, fostering a nurturing learning environment, and implementing innovative teaching methodologies.

*Responsibilities:*

1. Develop and oversee the implementation of the play school's curriculum, ensuring alignment with early childhood education standards and best practices.

2. Lead and mentor a team of teachers, providing guidance on instructional strategies, classroom management techniques, and student assessment methods.

3. Design and deliver professional development workshops and training sessions for teaching staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.

4. Conduct regular classroom observations and evaluations to monitor teaching effectiveness and student progress, providing constructive feedback and support as needed.

5. Stay updated on current trends and research in early childhood education, incorporating innovative approaches and resources into the curriculum.

6. Manage academic resources, including educational materials, equipment, and technology, to create engaging and interactive learning environments.

7. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards related to early childhood education.

9. Collaborate with the Centres team to develop and implement policies, procedures, and initiatives that support the overall success of the play school.

*Qualifications:*

1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.

2. At least 5-6 years of experience in a leadership role within a play school or early childhood education setting.

3. Strong knowledge of child development principles, learning theories, and pedagogical approaches for young children.

4. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

5. Proven ability to lead and motivate a team of educators, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

6. Familiarity with educational technology tools and digital resources for teaching and learning.

7. Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in education.

8. Certification in Early Childhood Education or relevant teaching credentials preferred.
