Job description

We are looking for a skilled Taxation Manager to join our team in India. The Taxation Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's tax compliance, planning, and reporting in accordance with Indian tax laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of Indian tax laws, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to effectively communicate tax strategies to stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize the company's tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with Indian tax laws and regulations.
• Prepare and review various tax filings, including GST returns, TDS returns, and income tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
• Stay up-to-date on changes in Indian tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the company's tax obligations.
• Liaise with external tax advisors and auditors to ensure accurate and timely completion of tax audits and assessments.
• Provide tax guidance and support to internal stakeholders, including finance and accounting teams, on tax-related matters.
• Coordinate with government authorities and respond to tax notices and inquiries as needed.
• Monitor and analyze tax implications of business transactions and provide recommendations to optimize tax efficiency.

Requirements:

• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification preferred.
• 7-10 years of experience in tax compliance and planning, with a focus on Indian tax laws and regulations.
• Strong understanding of GST, TDS, corporate income tax, and other relevant Indian tax laws.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to non-tax professionals.
• Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Excel.
