As a Development Manager, this is what you'll be doing:

As a Development Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end software development lifecycle, managing a team of developers, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership abilities, and exceptional communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and drive the team towards success.

Role responsibilities:

· Manage a team of developers, providing mentorship, guidance, and performance evaluations.

· Oversee the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment, ensuring efficient and timely project delivery.

· Coordinate with stakeholders, including product owners, business analysts, and quality assurance teams to align priorities, timelines, and expectations.

· Identify resource requirements, allocate tasks, and manage the development team's workload effectively.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement development best practices, coding standards, and quality assurance processes.

· Conduct regular code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure high-quality code and adherence to coding standards.

· Drive continuous improvement initiatives, exploring new technologies, methodologies, and tools to enhance development processes and efficiency.

· Monitor project progress, identify risks, and take proactive measures to mitigate potential issues.

· Ensure effective communication channels are established to keep stakeholders informed about project status, risks, and successes.

· Stay updated with industry trends and advancements, incorporating relevant technologies into the development process when appropriate.

Key skills and experience:

· Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.

· Have an experience of 12+ years with 5+ years in leadership or management role.

· Proficient in developing distributed systems and programming languages like React JS, PHP, NodeJS and databases like No-SQL & SQL. Experience on WordPress will be an added advantage.

· Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.

· Experience with project management tools and techniques.

· Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to motivate and inspire a development team.

· Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

· Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with stakeholders and team members.
