Job description
- Numerical modeling IC (internal combustion) engine processes using 3D-1D CFD simulation tools. This also involves participating in design reviews and DFMEA sessions and help design team with new ways to improve the design, and create IP in the above mentioned and related areas.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Ability to perform engine test bed experiment for model building and model validation.
- In depth understanding of the IC engine flow, combustion, functions and fundamentals will be weighted high.
- Interaction with design and development teams to understand the design, get the required information to build the model, followed by feedback on the design, suggestions to improve the design keeping in mind various cost, manufacturing constrains in mind.
- The candidate should be flexible and willing to work in related flow and thermal management areas in a product development setting.
- The job also involves engine testing and interpretation of the test data.
- The candidate should have the ability to communicate well and work proactively with the team.
- Functional Competency:
- Experience in computer simulation of IC engine processes.
- Fundamentals of IC engine
- Simulations tools: StarCD, ES-ICE, GT Power/AVL BOOST/Ricardo Wave.
Educational Qualifications :Master's in technology/engineering, PhD in engineering
