We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Team Leader to join our Finance team in on an Interim basis. As the AP Team Leader, you will oversee a small team and lead on the final stages of our Dynamics 365 Finance implementation, focusing on streamlining invoice processing, expense reporting, vendor payments, and month-end close. This position is open for two locations INDIA- NEW DELHI or UK-OXFORD. This will be a 12 months contractual position initially.

Job Responsibilities for the role:

• Manage AP team to execute final phases of Dynamics 365 Finance rollout in collaboration with the Project Delivery Team
• Support final stages of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for remaining AP processes within Dynamics 365 environment.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, proper expense coding, and vendor payments.
• Analyse discrepancies, resolve issues, and drive process improvements for greater efficiency.
• Oversee the monthly AP close process and accrue expenses.
• Review and manage the payment run processes for India & UK and ensure all payments authorised in line with delegation of authority.
• Maintain organised AP files/records both physically and within relevant systems.
• Develop strong vendor relationships and coordinate with procurement on purchase agreements.
• Prepare and analyse AP metrics, identify problem vendors, find cost savings opportunities.
• Support data validation, record migration, and user training for new system
• Identify post go-live issues and continuous improvement opportunities.
• Transition team and wider business from legacy platform(s) to achieve proficiency in new Dynamics 365 AP module.
• Set and enforce quality standards for invoice processing, coding, vendor maintenance.
• Develop KPIs and reports to gain visibility into AP performance after go-live
• Stay current on AP best practices and new features within Dynamics 365
• Manage a team of 5-6 Accounts Payable Assistants

Experience and Qualification required for the role:

• Experienced AP Team Leader who fully understands end to end AP processes.
• 3+ years in an AP leadership role, managing an AP team.
• Expert in using Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations AP module.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Proficiency in Excel
• Knowledge of UK/EU regulations and best practices for accounts payable
• AP certification or qualified accountant
• Excellent numeracy
• IT Literacy
• High degree of accuracy
• Ability to work independently without too much direction as well as being self-motivated and able to work effectively as part of a team with a can-do attitude.
• Good organisational skills with the ability to use own initiative and take responsibility for important processes.
• Able to deal with people at all levels in a professional manner.
