M ain purpose of job - Builds technical capability in manufacturing.
- Designs and implements Lean processes and systems to enhance operational efficiency.
- Keeps abreast with relevant manufacturing technology and upgrades operations.
- Spearhead HBE initiatives.
- Championing product improvement events including VA / VE initiatives Identify key roles and make a plan to provide RCCM training/coaching o Champion PEP process.
- Lead localization projects.
A c countabilities - Develops and implements Technology Roadmap for the Plant.
- Develops and facilitates implementation of Lean conversion road map.
- Conducts various Kaizen events and follows up on actions to improve the Factory Operations.
- Develops Welding and Fabrication Capability.
- Develops and implements Capital Budgets for Business as Usual and Special Projects.
- Promotes safety through active participation and support of company policies and procedures, in addition to initiating corrective action for recognised unsafe conditions or hazards.

S kills, knowledge & behaviours - Graduate Engineer in Mechanical / Production Stream
- Experience of working in a customized / engineered to order business leading manufacturing engineering function.
- Experience of implementing continuous improvement techniques built on the principles of lean manufacturing, with demonstrable results derived from their application in a low volume manufacturing environment.
- Exposure to TQM principles
- Experience of working as a team leader of a cross functional team and/or demonstrated leadership of major projects or programs in a team environment.
- Knowledge of Fabrication Processes, Technology and in-depth experience in Machining (VTL, HMC & Boring)
- Prior experience of developing and managing Capital Budgets
- Excellent oral and written communication skills – able to communicate at all levels of the organization.
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office Software including Word, Excel, Projects, and Outlook
- Working knowledge of ERP system
- Demonstrated teamwork and team-building skills in producing results and meeting organizational objectives.
