Our client is a Global risk management and Insurance services provider, below are the primary responsibilities for the role,
Role: Corporate Commercial Lawyer Location: Mumbai (Contract Role) Responsibilities: Support a variety of corporate commercial work including mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and with a significant degree of independence. This includes: Advising internal commercial teams and stakeholders. Managing and liaising with external counsel. Conducting and/or managing key aspects of due diligence as required; and Drafting and execution. Other ad-hoc tasks and projects assigned from time to time. Drafting, negotiating, and reviewing commercial contracts with clients, vendors, sponsors, insurers and other third parties. Supporting corporate Boards and Board meetings, as well global corporate secretariat, and corporate team. Providing legal guidance to Compliance Department, including drafting, reviewing, and revising local compliance protocols. Requirements: Minimum 8 years post qualification experience with relevant corporate commercial and M&A experience gained in a leading law firm and/or in-house legal department. Direct deal experience performing due diligence, drafting, and negotiating transaction documents, coordinating cross-functional deal teams, and advising business stakeholders. Strong communication and project management skills. Detailed and organised, with the ability to manage a diverse workload effectively.
