Job Summary/Objective

Involved through the entire software product lifecycle, plays a central role in executing the product roadmap and bringing the product vision to market. Acts as the voice of the customer and represents the business stakeholders while working daily with engineering teams to help scope, structure, refine, and execute product deliverables.

Key Responsibilities & Duties (essential to the job)

1.Maintains a well-groomed product backlog that will support assigned scrum teams and guide development efforts through the product life cycle.

2.Achieves the objectives of the product vision by prioritizing needs, anticipating customer requests, and evaluating product progress.

3.Translates and deconstructs product roadmap initiatives into smaller, clearly-defined feature sets and collaborates with Product Managers to prioritize various feature sets into releasable products.

4.Produces clear and effective user stories with clearly-defined acceptance criteria to create and prioritize Product Features.

5.Proactively collects feedback from users, customers, and dealers for direction in future enhancements.

6.Documents process workflows to clearly articulate product requirements.

7.Partners with UI / UX team to develop wireframes and UI / UX design.

8.Partners with Tech Leads in scrum meetings and reviews.

9.Advises customer-facing teams of new product releases and ensures that documentation is accurate and reflected in internal and external stakeholder documentation (such as Customer Release Notes).

10.Assists with the launch planning process to develop respective documentation, communication, and knowledge transfers for internal and external stakeholders.

11.Partners closely to review, triage, and provide input into client tickets to aligned products.

12.Develops well thought out success criteria for product and feature releases.

13.Develops and maintains appropriate tracking and reporting of product performance post-launch against the success criteria.

Education

An undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university with a focus in Business, Marketing, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline.In the absence of a degree, directly related job experience in product support, product management and/or product development is required.

Experience, Skills and Key Competencies

Essential:

·Minimum of 4 years of progressively responsible experience in a product role for a SaaS company

·Demonstrated ability to interface with key customers

·Strong written and verbal communication skills

·Strong analytical, critical thinking, business acumen, and presentation abilities

·A proven track record of developing and nurturing relationships, handling multiple priorities, and doing high collaboration across teams of moderate to complex projects

·Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially Excel

·Able to articulate the 'why' to the engineering team and, together with engineering leadership, fosters a sense of empowerment and innovation to achieve the goal

·Self-starter with the ability to identify and act on opportunities for improvement in process or products
