Job description
A Platform Engineer plays a crucial role in the development, deployment, and maintenance of a companys software applications by focusing on the underlying infrastructure and platforms that support these applications.

- 5+ years of experience as a Platform Engineer or similar role.
- Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proficiency in designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices to automate the provisioning and configuration of infrastructure components.
- Work with Docker and Kubernetes to build, deploy, and manage containerized applications in a scalable and efficient manner.
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, building, and deployment of applications.
- Contribute to the design and architecture of the underlying infrastructure and platform services, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand application requirements and provide infrastructure solutions that meet their needs.
- Implement and manage monitoring solutions for applications and infrastructure. Respond to incidents, troubleshoot issues, and ensure system reliability.
- Implement security best practices for infrastructure and platform services. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
- Perform capacity planning to ensure the infrastructure can handle current and future application demands. Implement scaling strategies to accommodate changes in workload.
- Work with cloud service providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) to leverage cloud infrastructure and services. Optimize costs and manage resources efficiently.
