Job Title: Server Administrator Job Description: We are currently seeking a highly skilled Server Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient and secure management of our servers, ensuring optimal performance and availability. The role requires expertise in MS SQL database administration, with the ability to effectively check and resolve queries to maintain database integrity. Additionally, proficiency in network configuration, firewall management, and IPsec VPN tunnel configuration is essential. The candidate should also have experience with patch updates and possess strong English language skills. Responsibilities: Manage and maintain servers to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security. Administer MS SQL databases, including monitoring query performance, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing database performance. Administer Active Directory and Group Policy settings to maintain user accounts and security policies. Configure and manage network infrastructure, including firewalls and VPNs. Implement and maintain IPsec VPN tunnels for secure communication between networks. Perform regular patch updates and system upgrades to address security vulnerabilities and enhance system functionality. Monitor system performance and resource utilization to identify potential issues and optimize performance. Troubleshoot and resolve server, database, and network-related issues in a timely manner. Document configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for future reference. Collaborate with other IT team members to design and implement infrastructure improvements and upgrades. Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies relevant to server administration, database management, and network security. Requirements: Proven experience as a Server Administrator or similar role, with expertise in server management, database administration (MS SQL), and network configuration. Strong knowledge of MS SQL database administration, including query optimization, performance tuning, and troubleshooting. Experience in configuring and managing firewalls and VPNs, particularly with IPsec tunnels. Proficiency in performing patch updates and system upgrades in a production environment. Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with proficiency in English. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Experience with Active Directory administration and Group Policy management. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred). Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or CompTIA Security+ (preferred).
