Job Overview
We are seeking a Dispatch Officer to join our team at Trident Dispatch. As a Dispatch Officer, you will be responsible for coordinating and ensuring the smooth operation of our dispatch activities. This is a full-time position with a Junior level of experience required (1 to 3 years). The job location is Bhilai, Chhattisgarh, India.
Qualifications and Skills
- 1-3 years of experience in dispatching or a similar logistics role
- Knowledge of dispatching systems and route planning
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
- Familiarity with transportation regulations and safety standards
- Proficiency in using computer software and systems for dispatching
Roles and Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee all dispatch activities, including assigning and scheduling drivers and vehicles
- Ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods to customers
- Monitor and track the progress of deliveries, resolve any issues or delays that may arise
- Collaborate with drivers to optimize delivery routes and minimize costs
- Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, such as driver logs and vehicle maintenance
- Communicate with customers regarding delivery status and provide excellent customer service
- Address and resolve any customer complaints or inquiries related to dispatch operations
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations
- Collaborate with other departments to improve overall dispatch operations
