We are looking for a a skilled content editor/ proof reader that spans digital, catalogue, packaging, website and social content creation. Ideal candidate is someone with a deep understanding of automotive aftermarket parts, a keen eye for detail, and strong editing skills. The right candidate will be responsible for editing and maintaining product information, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and clarity throughout each content channel General Purpose: The Product Engineer - passenger vehicle Brake will be responsible for the engineering of brake friction assemblies. This includes the reverse engineering of OE samples; the design and creation of drawings, models, and assemblies; and creation of bills of materials. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Reverse engineer existing components using physical measurements Utilize Solidworks and other CAD systems for design and creation of product Work closely with other members of the Friction Engineering team on the design and documentation of new product Publish and maintain manufacturing drawings with our global manufacturing centers Convert scanned assemblies into drawings and models for development Provide support to Sales, Customer Service, Quality, Product Marketing, Purchasing, and Distribution Center for issues related to passenger vehicle Brake products Ensure department and organization KPI’s are met Contribute to Continuous Improvement activities focused on both Product and Process Education and Experience: Experience reverse engineering components for aftermarket development Bachelor of Engineering Degree (preferably in Mechanical Engineering) Solid understanding of automotive braking systems Automotive parts or technical knowledge Experience with CAD systems (Both 2-D and 3-D) - Solidworks is highly preferred Experience with 3-D scanning technology and converting scans to models Experience with GD&T and Metrology Familiarity with ISO 9001/TS16949 Quality Management System requirements Familiarity with AIAG core tools such as PPAP, APQP, FMEA Knowledge of Microsoft products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, etc.) Strong analytical skill sets including problem solving techniques such as Fishbone, 5-Why Ability to work in a cross-functional environment Excellent communication skills Attention to detail and accuracy in data entryJob tags
