Job description
Scope of the role: The Integration Engineer will assist in the design and implementation of tasks supporting the Middleware Integration Platform and Messaging System. This role will act as a support resource and collaborate with various teams including Security, Software, Quality Assurance, Cloud, and System Administration to ensure the delivery of robust solutions aligned with industry best practices and open standards.
Main Responsibility and Activities: • Key Designer, senior developer for Middleware Integration and Messaging Platform. • Design, and develop System Integration using different On-Prem and Cloud Providers. • Interact with functional and technical representatives of project teams to understand business functionalities, technical modules, integration mechanism and data sources. • Provide support and function as designer and implementer for Kafka based messaging platform. • Prepare test plans and conduct Unit, Integration, Regression, Performance and Functional Testing. • Resolve complex issues uncovered by testers and internal clients. • Manage changes according to change management policies and processes and adhere to established change management and change control systems. • Identify opportunities for continuous quality improvement of technical standards, methodologies, and technologies. • Pair Program with other members of the team and work with the team on Messaging and System Integration. • Provide support and contribute to CICD methodology and help with standardizing and automating workflows and tasks • Work with PMO, Quality Assurance and other group on a frequent basis, to provide solutions and deliver deliverables. Key Responsibilities: • Demonstrate hands-on expertise in ABAP Cloud, CSD, OData, Gateway, IDoc, and code inspector configurations. • Preferably possess knowledge of S/4HANA conversion, along with prior experience in SAP S/4HANA implementation projects. • Deep understanding of BTP architecture and BTP services. • Experience in developing applications on the SAP BTP Platform (BTP-Restful Application Programming). • Appreciation of open standards like Cloud Foundry would be advantageous. • Proficiency in using tools within the SAP BTP Cockpit. • Strong understanding of business processes in one or two SAP Functional areas. • Responsible for scope and requirement management on RFC, S/4HANA conversions, and custom code remediation. • Familiarity with Groovy script/Java and IS Node functions is expected. Education Qualification & Skills Required: Educational Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent years of experience Required Experience: • 4+ years of Software Engineering experience. • 3+ years of experience with System Engineering. • 3+ years of experience with SAP BTP Platform. • Experience in designing and implementing messaging and SOA-based applications using EMS/MQ/Adapters, with knowledge in Java, XSD, XSLT. • 2+ years of experience with messaging systems like Kafka/JMS/MQ. • 1+ years of experience with Monitoring and Alerting tools like Splunk, Logic Monitor. • Hands-on experience working as a DevOps engineer with a focus on automation and expertise in implementing DevOps practices. • Expertise with CI/CD pipeline, Configuration management, and version control. • Proven strong skills in critical thinking and analysis, verbal, and written communications, and interpersonal interactions. • Proven track record of working in an agile methodology and knowledgeable with SCRUM framework. • Experience integrating with on-prem and cloud integration. Required Technical Skills: • Experience with Apache or Confluent Kafka. Confluent Certification is a plus. • Proficiency in SQL. • Knowledgeable in MS SQL Server, and basic SQL. • Knowledgeable in System engineering concepts like load balancing, capacity planning, firewalls, SSL, etc. Required Soft Skills • Team Player. • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills. • Effective communications.
