Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounting Process Trainer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting processes, along with exceptional training and communication skills. The Accounting Process Trainer will be responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of our accounting team members. This role requires a deep understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and proficiency in training methodologies.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop comprehensive training programs for accounting processes, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.

2. Design training materials, including presentations, manuals, and exercises, to effectively deliver content to trainees.

3. Deliver engaging and interactive training sessions to individuals and groups, both in-person and virtually, ensuring comprehension and retention of key concepts.

4. Assess training needs within the accounting department and develop customized training plans to address skill gaps and enhance performance.

5. Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to ensure training content is accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with organizational goals and industry best practices.

6. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics, and make necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.

7. Provide ongoing support and coaching to accounting team members to reinforce learning and promote continuous improvement.

8. Stay informed about developments in accounting regulations, software tools, and industry trends to incorporate relevant updates into training curriculum.

9. Assist in onboarding new accounting staff by delivering orientation sessions and providing guidance on accounting processes and procedures.

10. Maintain training records and documentation to track participation, progress, and completion of training activities.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.

2. Proven experience as an Accounting Trainer or similar role, with a minimum of X years in accounting and X years in training and development.

3. Thorough understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS), and best practices in accounting processes.

4. Strong presentation, facilitation, and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts in a clear and understandable manner.

5. Proficiency in instructional design principles and training methodologies, including adult learning theory, e-learning platforms, and interactive training techniques.

6. Ability to assess training needs, develop learning objectives, and design effective training programs tailored to diverse learning styles and skill levels.

7. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

8. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

9. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement effective solutions.
