Job description
We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative individual to join our Mumbai/Pune-based Quality Assurance team. The position oversees the Automation testing of Market Risk and Regulatory Risk in Calypso Trading Solution. This is a tremendous opportunity to strengthen technical, business & product skills. The position requires someone with a strong motivation and desire to work in a challenging environment. An understanding of the release and software development lifecycle is a must.
- Assure the quality and persistence of the software by understanding the requirement/specification document and designing test cases to capture bugs within the system. Execution of test cases and testing the corrections of bugs and enhancements
- Work in close collaboration with both our Product Management and Engineering teams to ensure the inclusion of enhancements requested by clients in the software and ensure delivery
- Design, development, & execution of manual and automated test solutions
- Analysis of automated test results and failures
- Maintenance of existing automated test solutions
- Documenting test cases and maintaining the test library
- Environment management. Creation, upgrade, and maintenance of test environments, creation, and maintenance of test data
- Master s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Mathematics, Finance, Business, Economics, Engineering graduate or full-time MBA in finance from a reputed institute
- 7+ years of experience in Capital Market, preferably Market Risk/Regulatory Risk within a Product/Software company or Investment Bank
- Good Experience is required in analyzing portfolios with different risk factors (credit risk, liquidity risk, market risk, and operational risk)
- In-depth understanding of various risk reports such as Value-at-Risk (VaR) and Historical Simulation (HS), and the risk modeling techniques that underlie such reports
- Good Experience is required in completing scenario tests and stress tests for financial risk models
- Experience in Trade Capture for any of the asset class
- Working knowledge of any of the asset classes (EQ, FI, COM, FX, FXO, IRD, CDS, MM, Derivatives, Pricing, Repo)
- Worked as a Business Analyst within the Development or QA function of a software company
- Ability to read complex requirement/specification documents and design test cases
- Ability to do complex setups and configuration and execute test cases
- Strong ability to work independently in a techno-functional environment
- Experience with phases of the test cycle (Test planning, Test case development, test execution: manual and automated, regression, system test & user test)
- Very good Analytical Skills and problem-solving ability
- Must be a fast learner, self-motivated, team player, and collaborator
- Experience with SQL Queries
- Hands-on experience with Xray or QualityCenter will be an advantage
