Job description
Purpose of Role: Commercial Department of SPOG is seeking experienced, effective and highly motivated commercial professionals to help the organization support the company’s expansion plans. The person will be responsible for the commercial process of Energy Investment Projects and will be involved right from opportunity identification to Project award phase.
Key Responsibility Areas
Key Deliverables
Commercial & Project Development
· Undertake and manage the necessary due diligence, risk analysis and investment appraisal for various Energy Assets/Projects.
· Negotiation with Potential clients and Support/Lead the associated internal approvals process
· With the support of internal and external counsel and working as a part of Cross-functional team, ensure for all the Projects that appropriate project specific commercial processes are successfully concluded
· Challenge sourcing strategies and business cases where appropriate to improve outcomes
Joint Ventures
· With support of external legal counsels, prepare and negotiate joint venture agreements with Potential technical collaborators and partners
Business Development
· Support in business development activities in Energy sector including clean energy initiatives
· Continuously monitor the oil and gas market and prepare an assessment on the individual streams/sectors/sub sectors, understand geography
· Carry out commercial due diligence of energy business opportunities to help management make GO – NOGO decision

- Commercially astute, able to understand and effectively communicate Company’s position
- An understanding of and familiarity with investments in large-scale Infrastructure projects.
- Analytical problem solving skills with a logical thought process, to sort, analyze and creatively interpret large amount of qualitative data
