Job Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Hand Embroidery Merchandiser to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate should have 5-7 years of relevant work experience in the fashion industry, a deep understanding of hand embroidery techniques, and a proven track record in merchandising. This role requires a keen eye for design, strong project management skills, and the ability to collaborate with artisans, designers, and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities :

• Oversee the end-to-end execution of hand embroidery projects, ensuring timely delivery, quality craftsmanship, and adherence to design specifications.
• Collaborate with buyers and designers to provide input on hand embroidery techniques, materials, and overall project feasibility.
• Manage relationships with hand embroidery artisans, ensuring a pool of skilled talent for various projects.
• Work closely with artisans to understand their capabilities, provide guidance, and ensure the successful execution of designs.
• Source and select high-quality fabrics, threads, and embellishments for hand embroidery.
• Manage materials inventory, ensuring an uninterrupted supply chain and optimizing stock levels.
• Collaborate with buyers and designers to translate design concepts into feasible hand embroidery projects.
• Provide feedback on design elements that enhance the artistic and technical aspects of hand embroidery.
• Implement and oversee quality control processes to maintain the highest standards in hand embroidery.
• Conduct regular inspections of work in progress and finished products to ensure alignment with design specifications and quality expectations.
• Ongoing communication with clients on the modifications, alterations, and overall progress of the work order.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and market demands related to hand embroidery.
• Provide insights and recommendations to guide product development and merchandising strategies.
• Liaise with clients, fashion brands, and designers to understand their specific hand embroidery requirements.
• Collaborate on bespoke projects, ensuring client satisfaction and successful project outcomes.
• Track customer feedback on the overall experience of work delivered.
• Develop and manage budgets for hand embroidery projects, optimizing costs without compromising on quality.
• Negotiate favorable terms with suppliers and manage production costs effectively.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including the production unit and sampling unit to ensure seamless collaboration and execution of projects.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior merchandising staff.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• In-depth knowledge of hand embroidery techniques, materials, and trends preferred.

• 3-6 years of hands-on experience in hand embroidery merchandising.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant merchandising software, photoshop, coral draw

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's or Diploma degree in Fashion, Textiles, Merchandising, or a related field
