Job Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Head - Legal to join our Agri Trading Business team at Reliance Retail. As the Head - Legal, you will be responsible for providing strategic legal advice and guidance to support our Agri Trading Business operations. This position is based in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, India and requires a full-time commitment. The ideal candidate should have more than 10 years of experience in the legal field.
Qualifications and Skills
- More than 15 years of experience in the legal field, with a focus on Agri Trading Business
- Strong understanding of Agri Trading Business and Agri Commodities Trading
- In-depth knowledge of legal and regulatory compliance
- Ability to provide strategic legal advice and mitigate legal risks
- Proficient in laws related to export/import of agricultural produce
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Proven track record of managing legal disputes and litigation
- Experience in managing relationships with external legal counsel
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement legal strategies, policies, and procedures for the Agri Trading Business
- Provide legal advice and support on a wide range of legal matters, particularly those related to Agri Commodities Trading
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, both domestically and internationally
- Manage legal risks and develop risk mitigation strategies
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve legal issues and support business objectives
- Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations related to Agri Trading Business
- Handle legal disputes and litigation, as necessary
- Manage relationships with external legal counsel and other stakeholders
- Provide training and guidance to internal teams on legal matters
