POSITION DETAILS
Position Summary
CIRCOR is seeking a Principal Financial Analyst to be part of the global Business Development team that handles Strategy, M&A for the entire organization. The person will support strategic planning, development of acquisitions pipeline, due diligence, deal execution and integration. In addition, the person will support various enterprise wide organic growth efforts.
Principal Activities
- Support strategic planning, acquisitions, and organic growth efforts in existing and new markets
- Execute market research including competitive intelligence & analysis to support strategic decision making
- Lead project management for strategic planning and acquisitions/divestitures process
- Conduct due diligence, including identifying areas for value creation/synergies
- Drive M&A process workflow, documents and quality control while maintaining speed and efficiency
- Financial and business analysis of acquisition targets
- Identify acquisition targets. Researching M&A/JV candidates, including product portfolio, technology, end markets, and sales channels
- Provide rigorous fact-based analysis and synthesize insights into actionable recommendations
- Research market trends, adjacencies and identify growth opportunities
- Actively monitor market dynamics, including customer and competitive developments
- Gain a comprehensive knowledge of CIRCOR products, competitive environment, and the market it addresses to better support functional initiatives and provide recommendations to business partners
- Liaise with internal stakeholders across business units and external partners to project manage M&A process
- Participate in development of long-term strategic plans which reflects customer and market inputs, CIRCOR capabilities, and the competitive environment
- Provide support for M&A acquisition activities including strategic fit, valuation, due diligence, negotiation and integration support
- Participate in cross-functional business projects and perform ad hoc analyses as required.
- Assist in the development of presentations to senior management

- Experience with market research, strategy development and / or M&A
- Ability to work with global stakeholders and tight deadlines during live deals

- Project management skills, Well-developed interpersonal skills. Ability to lead through influence
- Strong ability to establish credibility and be decisive – but able to recognize and support the organization's preferences and priorities.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills that enable clear and concise communication to all levels of the organization

- Experience conducting market research including competitive intelligence
- Proficient in Microsoft programs including Excel and PowerPoint
- Successfully managing multiple projects concurrently with adherence to all deadlines
- Ability to travel
Education & Experience
- 1 to 4 years of experience in strategy, M&A and/or integration
- Strong preference for experience that spans the breadth of strategy development, M&A and integration
- Background in Private Equity, Investment Banking, Management Consulting and / or Corporate development
- Four (4) year degree with major in Engineering or Business Administration
- MBA a plus
- Experience in industrial manufacturing markets a plus
