Platform Engineering Engineer 2
Common Accountabilities - Has working experience and advanced and specialized technical/functional knowledge in own discipline. Understands how own area contributes to the business. Acts as a reference for colleagues with less experience and supports junior team members.
- Influences decisions related to own activity, anticipating dependencies and consequences in complex scenarios, contributes to transversal projects, proposes improvements to processes and is accountable for own and team commitments.
- Works independently within plan dictated by manager, with some guidance on most complex situations.
Specific Accountabilities Design systems and code:
- Design technical solutions and perform feasibility studies.
- Propose viable technical solutions to Product Management and/or users for validation.
- Should have experience in Python Framework and comfortable in working on API Integration, Inheritance, Parsing in python and in addition a good understanding in managing Json and YAML code.
- Hands-on experience in Jinja Templating.
Test And Maintain The Software - Conduct unit, package and performance tests and ensure a level of quality in line with the Amadeus guidelines.
- Support the customer by debugging existing solutions in collaboration with Product Manager or Product Definition Analyst
- Knowledge on dynamic (or run-time) modifications of a class or module (MonkeyPatch).
Document your work
- Produce software documentation necessary for the application and issue it to the requesting departments.
Linux Skills
Expertise in Linux operating systems and security aspects of servers.
Experience architecting, building and System Administrator Role.
Deep expertise in architecting, building, and operating Virtualized environments running highly scalable Distributed systems.
Must have led large scale Infra & services migrations to Cloud platforms from On-premises datacentres – Lift and Shift, Re-platforming etc.
Experience with Other operating system like Windows and SRE working model is a plus
Experience with various CI / CD tools (Jenkins), Source Code Repos (Git/Bitbucket), configuration management tools (Ansible/Puppet/Chef) and container service
Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, Load balancing, Firewall technologies.
Understanding and working experience of hybrid clouds.
Technically own and implement new solution in Linux environment.
Participate/Coordinates and lead the daily activities of a team.
Strong knowledge on software development methodologies like SAFe Agile/Scrum/Kanban etc with a broad understanding of enterprise project life cycle.
Work with multiple teams to solve complex technological problems, and drive engineering strategy
Effective communication skills (written and verbal) to articulate technical topics.
Training teams on the implementation of new cloud-based initiatives, providing associated training as required.
Certification on Public Cloud, Linux Administrator at a Solution Expert level (or related certification is a plus.)
Knowledge and working experience on Terraform is a plus.
Key Skills - Python, Terraform, CI/CD (Jenkins/GIT), Azure, YAML, JSON, Shell Scripting, Groovy, Jinja Templating.
Preferred Skills - Terragrunt, Go, Docker, Ansible, Linux, JIRA, Agile, Confluence.
