Support Engineer

Role

Location:Mumbai(Remote Working) Salary: Upto 10LPA Qualifications: · 4-8 years of experience as a full stack developer or similar role · Relevant computer science degree or relevant experience

Key Skills: · Strong shell scripting knowledge · Good awareness of the following languages Java or NodeJS · Strong knowledge of using tools like Grafana, Prometheus, ELK stack. · Strong knowledge of Google cloud platform logging services. · Strong knowledge of Anthos/ GKE administration · Strong knowledge of Jenkins CI/CD · Strong shell scripting knowledge · Good awareness of ITIL process Service now etc. · Knowledge of software/ os patching and backups/ application DR processes.

Job Description: Conduct 1st level diagnoses of the incidents & problems reported and take appropriate actions to address quick restoration of the services. Incidents / queries are reported in either via ticking tool ServiceNow or emails or direct calls. Creating observability dashboards on Grafana, Promethus etc. configuring pro-active alerts for measuring various metrics for CloudSQL, GKE, Pods and Cloud Scheduler. Track and Ensure all Incident / Service / Change tickets are closed within SLA. Coordinate own and manage incidents on Service Now. Work with Google cloud teams, ApiGW, OBP middleware team to report and debug issues. Releasing the patches / code change to the test setup and conduct SIT. Implement vulnerability fix change to the test setup and conduct SIT. Identify and execute system health-improvement plans to reduce/avoid incidents and capacity. Plan for the DR drill & Datacenter Drills by doing precheck and onsite support. Prepare the change / incident management document as per ITPP and attached the same in Change tickets in ServiceNow. Provide support to release deployment team for deployment of application fixes & coordinate for PVT. Provide support for batch process in night, take appropriate action for job aborts, run time exceed cases. Provide support for OS, DB and MW patching activity & coordinate for PVT. Tracking, Co-ordination, and Follow-up with internal and external teams for incidents / problems / service requests till resolution. Daily shift wise progressive report on the incidents / problems reported and the actions taken to address the same. Daily cumulative trend analysis of batch (Autosys job aborts & runtime exceeds) incidents with action taken or planned to reduce. Periodic call logging and updating status of incidents /service requests. Knowledge base update. This is currently being done in an excel format – uploaded in ServiceNow – common errors, SoPs, actively updated and revie. Maintain a repository of incident reports, defect fix updates, health checks, outage report and share with HDFC team on weekly basis. Weekly analysis of ticket logged and taking necessary action to avoid repeat tickets. Share analysis report to team. In case of S1 and S2 calls follow proper updates and escalations on time and ensure timely resolutions. Issue may be due to servers, infra, network, webserver, application or database L1 team is owning the same till it’s closure. Records JIRA’s reported by BSG/Users and work towards solution with the help of Bank’s IT or Application vendor. Log JIRA's for technical issues. Monitor service request increase find out reasons and implement self-service so as reduce the service request calls. Act and resolve issues reported via SMS / email alerts generated by systems like DynaTrace, APM, Sysedge, OEM, etc The team will work with the HDFC Bank Project Managers and will take day to day directions from them.
