We are seeking a Sr. Compliance Specialist to oversee and manage all conflicts-of-interest related matters globally, as well as related policy, investigative, and reporting activities. This position reports to a Sr. Director on Gartner's Ethics & Compliance team.
What You'll do: - Ensure conformity with various Gartner policies, including but not limited to the Gartner Code of Conduct and Conflicts of Interest Policy.
- Collaborate with other team members across the globe on projects and initiatives through transparent and proactive communication to improve Gartner's processes, policies, guidelines, and training, with a focus on Ethics & Compliance.
- Contribute to standardization and innovation efforts to document and report on the matters handled by the team, and to drive usage of new tools and techniques in your team, including automation.
- Document matters that represent operational, reputational, or legal risk to Gartner and its brand with monthly reporting to L&C leadership (and, where appropriate, Gartner business unit leaders).
- Provide timely, insightful, and actionable feedback on Sr. Specialist execution of required job elements—both quality and quantity of work.
What you'll need: - 4-6 years work experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment; exposure in research, academic, marketing, legal, or compliance environment is required.
- Ability to make and defend frequent judgment calls and to think outside the box, yet remain agile when appropriate to ensure successful partnerships throughout Gartner.
- Ability to work on confidential matters, exercising sound, independent judgement.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and data analysis/reporting tools.
- Excellent prioritization skills; ability to manage multiple concurrent activities and to prioritize available resources, while meeting tight deadlines.
- Experience handling conflict and ability to be assertive yet professional when called upon.
- Project management experience.
- Strong executive presence, with outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
