Freightwise Technology is Looking for: Designing Automated Testing Platform: - Design and architect an automated testing platform from scratch for a greenfield Java API project.
- Document the architecture, design principles, and guidelines for the automated testing platform.
Scripting and Automation: - Create automated scripts for back-end testing using tools such as Selenium and REST Assured.
- Develop, implement, and document automated tests for APIs, covering various testing aspects like functionality, performance, security, and scalability.
API Testing Expertise: - Demonstrate expert-level skills in designing, implementing, and executing automated tests specifically for APIs.
- Ensure proper handling of API communications, validating that requests are handled appropriately, and responses meet expected criteria.
Performance and Security Testing: - Develop and execute automated test cases for performance, security, and scalability testing of APIs.
- Identify and address potential bottlenecks or security vulnerabilities in the API architecture.
JUnit Testing: - Utilize JUnit framework for creating automated unit tests to validate individual components and functions within the Java API.
Automation Tools: - Leverage automation tools such as Karate for API test automation, mocking, performance testing, and UI automation.
- Familiarity with GitHub Actions for continuous integration and deployment.
Training and Collaboration: - Train other team members on the usage of the automated testing platform and best practices in API automation.
- Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to integrate automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline.
Documentation: - Maintain comprehensive documentation for automated test cases, testing processes, and testing platform architecture.
- Collaborate with the documentation team to ensure that testing documentation is accurate and up to date.
Issue Tracking and Collaboration Tools: - Utilize tools such as Jira and Confluence for issue tracking, test case management, and collaboration with the development team.
This Role Requires: - 6-8 years Senior Self-sufficient QA Automation Engineer that will design from scratch, document, build and train others on an automated testing platform for a greenfield Java API
- At least 2-4 years in Automation and Proficient in creating automated scripts for back-end testing using tools such as Selenium and REST Assured.
- Expert level skills at designing, implementing, documenting automated tests for APIs.
- Experience in developing and executing automated test cases for API testing, including performance, security, and scalability testing.
- Expertise in testing API communication, ensuring requests are properly handled, and responses meet expectations.
- Experienced with tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- AWS Experience
- Familiarity with writing JUnit tests using the JUnit framework for automated unit testing.
- Knowledge of using automation tools like Karate, which combines API test-automation, mocks, performance-testing, and UI automation into a single framework.
- Ability to identify tasks that cannot be tested manually and determine the appropriate automation approach for API testing.
- Familiar with GitHub Actions
