Job description

Position: Technical Writer

Exp – 4-6 yrs

Location – Bangalore – Hybrid

Note: Written, verbal, and communication should be excellent.

Roles And Responsibilities

  • The position will be responsible for authoring and maintaining White Papers, Installation and Deployment Guides, Operation Manuals, Application and UI User Manuals, Adapter Guides, API Reference Manuals, Release Notes, and associated graphics, and may additionally assist in creating marketing collateral and RFPs.
  • The position requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The candidate will need to possess excellent language and editorial skills, and proven past experience in a similar position. Language skills will be the benchmark for hiring.
  • Screening will be based on a writing test. Writing samples will be required from shortlisted candidates. A client interview will also be required.

Experience

  • Mandatory: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, especially using industry standards and tools such as AsciiDoc, MarkDown, Oxygen, Arbortext Editor, and Adobe RoboHelp.
  • Demonstrable expertise in creating, editing, and publishing technical and user documentation.
  • Excellent skills in terms of communication, research, organization, collaboration, and teamwork.
  • A good grasp of technical terminology combined with the ability to write in a simple, concise, and accurate manner.

Technical Competencies

  • Mandatory: Expertise in authoring using help authoring tools (such as AsciiDoc, MarkDown, Oxygen, Arbortext Editor, Adobe RoboHelp), MS Office Suite, Adobe Photoshop, and Photo capture and editing software.
