Job Summary:
The Procurement Officer will deal with every aspect of operations related to Procurements. S/he
holds specific responsibility to provide support in all tasks related to procurement of goods and
services and related compliances.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Procurement and Supply chain management:
- Assist in preparing procurement plans.
- Work closely with key persons/ other departments to understand their procurement needs including ensuring product specifications and timeline for supplies.
- Providing support in empanelment process of Vendors, Service Providers.
- Work independently on procurement requests, publishing RFPs, bid analysis and issuance of Purchase Orders.
- Maintain tracker related to procurement department and follow up of purchase orders,
ensuring smooth supplies, quality checks, and settlement of vendor invoices.
- Maintenance of all documents and records pertaining to procurement.
- Monitor and enforce adherence to quality standards of the organization.
- Event management - support for all meetings/ conferences and official receptions.
- Preparation/ renewal of Rate Contracts, Rent Agreements, Service Agreements, MOUs, etc.
- Any other tasks assigned by Director – Procurements or Procurement and Administration Manager.
Key Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Graduate/ Postgraduate with a minimum of 3 - 4 years of work experience in
- Procurements/ Data Analysis is Essential. Candidates with MBA qualification shall be
preferred.
- Sound knowledge and prior experience in procurement and supplies in social sector.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in NGO environment.
- Good analytical skills & knowledge.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written)
- Ability to work without close supervision or should be self-driven.
- Proven ability to interpret verbal, written and numerical data.
- Ability to work in a team as part of the team.
- Hard working and willing to additional time if required.
- Flexibility, Drive and enthusiasm.
- Ability to remain calm in a pressurized environment and able to give long hours to the
office when required.
- Maintain Confidentiality, friendly and helpful approach.
- Ability to multi-task and work in an environment with changing priorities
Salary: Salary commensurate with experience.
