Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Purchase Manager located in Chennai. The Purchase Manager will be responsible for sourcing and procuring raw materials, equipment and supplies required for manufacturing boilers. The day-to-day tasks include identifying reliable vendors, negotiating contracts, coordinating with production teams, generating purchase orders, managing inventory, and ensuring timely delivery of goods.
Qualifications
- Expertise in procurement and purchasing operations
- Experience and knowledge in the manufacturing industry and related supply chain management
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and vendor management skills
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently
- Familiarity with inventory management and ERP systems
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Engineering
- Prior experience in purchasing and procurement for boiler manufacturing industries is a plus
