About The Role

Our Cloud Engineering team helps our customers tackle complex problems of scale, availability, reliability, operational efficiency, and security on GCP and AWS. As a lead Cloud Architect, you will be leading a pod of the Cloud Engineering team that focuses on Migrations, Infra and Application Modernization, and DevOps. You will be responsible for the entire customer life-cycle, starting from the very first conversation to successfully delivering solutions with hands-on involvement.

Some Of The Other Responsibilities Include

  • Engage with engineering leaders from customer organizations in deep technical conversations and propose solutions
  • Conduct workshops, deep-dive sessions, and Assessments. Author detailed technical approach documents
  • Delivery. Hands-on involvement in POCs, Migrations, Containerization, DevOps, Cost Optimization projects
  • Hire and nurture talent. You are the one your team turns to when they run into a technical problem and you solve it for them and provide direction
  • Solutionize oft-encountered problems and build repeatable assets out of them
  • Contribute to the community in the form of opensource projects, blog posts. Yes, this is a responsibility.

  • You have a well-rounded experience. Your past experience with internet-scale and enterprise workloads and exposure to the various customer environments helps you quickly connect the dots and understand customer pain points.
  • You are curious. You keep up with the breakneck speed of innovation on the public cloud. When something new gets released or an existing service changes - you try it out, learn and share your experience with the community.
  • You are hands-on. You love the terminal. You write code, you design, deploy, troubleshoot, iterate and enhance.

Required Skills

  • Min 5+ years of overall experience
  • Min 3 + years of experience on GCP / AWS / Azure.
  • Experience with one of the programming languages: C, C++, Java, Python, Go
  • Terraform, Pulumi, Cloud Formation, Ansible
  • Kubernetes, GKE, EKS - Kubernetes skill is a must.
  • Experience with DevOps culture and tools. Jenkins, Spinnaker, Prometheus, Grafana etc.
  • Strong Cloud Architecture experience. How to run design, deploy and maintain internet-scale systems
  • Hands-on experience with Identity and Access Management, Perimeter Security, Hybrid Connectivity, DDoS protection, and mitigation
  • Hands-on experience with relational and NoSQL databases, solutions, and architecture experience on Data Analytics
  • Understanding of Cloud Economics. Ability to compare services across public cloud platforms and understand pros and cons
  • Ability to deliver technology deep-dive sessions, workshops
  • Experience building technology teams from scratch, managing delivery, mentorship, and training

  • Certifications - GCP and/or AWS, professional level
  • Kubernetes Certifications
  • Your contributions to the community - tech blog, StackOverflow, etc.
