Job description
As the Manager of Architect and Design at Workafella, you will be responsible for overseeing the architectural and design aspects of our coworking and interior design firm. Your role will involve managing a team of architects, designers, and related professionals, ensuring the successful implementation of projects, maintaining design standards, and meeting client requirements. Your creative vision and leadership will be instrumental in driving the company's architectural and design strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Manage and lead a team of architects, interior designers, and design professionals. Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the team's success in meeting project goals and deadlines. To Ensure that the teams understanding on the design briefs are in line with the requirement.
- Project Management: Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, from conception to completion. Coordinate with various stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and vendors, to ensure successful project delivery within budget and timelines.
- Design Strategy: Develop and implement design strategies that align with the company's goals and client needs. Innovate and improve design processes and standards to enhance the overall quality of projects. Review of design and drawings to iron out hurdles, if any.
- Client Collaboration: Work closely with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and visions. Provide design recommendations, present concepts, and ensure client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Budget and Resource Management: Manage project budgets, resources, and timelines effectively. Ensure cost-efficiency without compromising design quality. Source and manage external resources as needed.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards. Ensure all designs and projects comply with the necessary legal and regulatory requirements.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of design quality throughout all phases of a project. Conduct regular reviews and evaluations to ensure adherence to design specifications and client expectations.
- Innovation and Trends: Stay abreast of industry trends, innovations, and emerging technologies in architecture and interior design. Implement new techniques and technologies to enhance project outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Master's degree in Architecture or Interior Design. Additional qualifications in Project Management or Business Administration would be a plus.
- 10+ years of experience in architectural and interior design.
- Proficiency in architectural design software and project management tools.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Understanding of construction processes and materials.
- Knowledge of sustainable design practices is desirable.
- Certification and licensing as a professional architect or designer is preferred.
