Description:
We are seeking a skilled and detail oriented Finance Analyst to join our team. As a Finance Analyst, he/she will be responsible for collecting, analyzing and interpreting complex financial data to support informed decision-making and strategic planning within our organization.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Improve the impact and understanding of financial reporting on business performance.
• Provide analysis and deliver insight that links financial reports to business strategies.
• Provide robust and reliable information for the Engineering centers, including monthly review and trend analysis for standard rates.
• Researching market trends, conducting surveys, analyzing data from competitors and business's operations, expenditures, and customer retention to identify patterns of potential issues or improvements.
• Assisting with the financial forecasting and the preparation of budgets.
• Preparation and review of various quarterly, semi-annual, annual and ad-hoc deliverables to support both internal and external financial reporting requirements, including analytical commentary and the preparation of supplementary financial analysis for management and other stakeholders.
• Coordinate with tax consultants and internal tax team for filing the tax returns.
• Coordinate with relevant teams for queries related to vendor payments, payroll, etc.
• Review submissions to enforce a second line of defense to ensure quality and integrity of the financial information submitted.
• Enhance financial performance through analysis of financial results, forecasts, variances, and trends and recommend actions and perform balance sheet reviews.
• Oversee day-to-day operation, facilitate problem solving and ensure team collaboration.
• Support ad hoc projects and perform any other duties as and when required by the reporting authority.
• Build partnerships and maintain strong relationships with all senior managers and their teams.
Minimum Requirements:
• A bachelor's or associate's degree in economics, finance, accounting, statistics or related field.
• Experience in applied research or data management may be advantageous.
• The ability to manipulate large, complex data sets into manageable, understandable reports.
• Proven work experience as a Finance Analyst or similar role.
• Solid knowledge of financial and accounting procedures.
• Advanced MS office skills and Google Suite.
• Knowledge of accounting softwares like Tally, Zoho Books etc., would be preferred.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
• Sharp time management skills.
• Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data.
• Demonstrated creative and critical thinking skills .
