Job description
Major responsibilities :- End to end understanding on MSTR architecture and components.- Must have hands on in completing MSTR installation and maintenance on clustered environment.- Experience in upgrading different Version of MicroStrategy. i.e. 9.x version to 10.x version- Understanding the data warehouse system & the technical architecture of the application.- Understand the business scenario, operational scenario and the business case for the project.- Understand the technical environment, platforms and other dependencies of the project. - Understand and validate the proposed technical solution to the project and escalate in case of issues or new ideas.- Convert the technical solution to efficient code ensuring compliance to standards, optimized implementation and reusability.- Verify and validate own as well as teams solution implementation.- Report and update the progress, status, issues and risks as per the specified process followed in the project.- Build knowledge assets and Technical documentation.- Design and build of MSTR schema, reports and dashboard (web, mobile, android) objects.- MSTR setup and installation, building DB presentation layer, MSTR dashboards and email reports, scheduling, MSTR System Manager's workflows.- Solid & proven BI and Data warehousing experience- Excellent experience with the latest versions of MicroStrategy (MSTR) and Cognos product set- Strong experience in design and build of MSTR schema, reports and dashboard (web, mobile, android) objects.- Experience in MSTR setup and installation, building DB presentation layer, MSTR dashboards and email reports, scheduling, MSTR System Manager's workflows- Experience in integrating MSTR with 3rd party application through Web API and experience in MSTR administration and Tools and performance tuning- Experience in design and build of MSTR metadata, cubes and Reports & dashboards using industry best practice design standards- Must have experience in administrating MicroStrategy on UNIX, LINUX environments.- SSO Server authentication set-up and administration.- Should have experience on MicroStrategy Web configuration and ability to setup web instances for LDAP and SSO- Should have hands on experience in system manager, command manager, integrity manager and object manager.- Should have hands-on experience in performance tuning.- Should have experience on Server Maintenance and usage report generation.- Should have work experience on Enterprise manager installation & configuration- Should have Knowledge on MicroStrategy report/Dashboard creation- Should have knowledge/work experience on MicroStrategy VLDB properties- Hands on experience on MicroStrategy Mobile Platform configuration- Ability to Resolve the MicroStrategy clustering issues- Should have experience on Integrity manager load tests for Identifying and resolving performance issues- Hands on experience MicroStrategy metadata configuration and Project creation .- Should have ability to create the workflows in system manager to minimize daily MSTR Routine tasks- Should have experience on MSTR License update & auditing licenses across platform- Should have experience in upgrading hotfixes .- Should have knowledge on server Infrastructure- Should have ability to resolve the metadata corruption issue at any time by using SCANMD.- Must have experience working on Enterprise Infrastructure Services.- Shell or Python scripting is a add on.- To understand business requirements in the BI context and design data models to convert raw data to meaningful insights- To create dashboards and visual interactive reports using Power BI- To identify KPIs with clear objectives and monitor them consistently- To analyze data and present it through reports that can help in decision-making- To be able to convert business requirements into technical specifications and decide the timeline to accomplish tasks - PowerBI gateway servers update and have experience in windows and license servers patches and changes- To be expertise in Access management and configuration setup ability to support with vendor for problem solving the issues and defects- Ability to troubleshoot the performance issues and resolve - Ability to modify users and licenses within the Microsoft 365 admin center.- Manage workspaces and other aspects of Power BI through scripts- Troubleshoot data access and other issues- Build custom admin tools. For example, Power BI Desktop can use these APIs to build reports based on data related to administration- Manage workspaces and other aspects of Power BI through scriptsOther skills (Preferable Soft skills) :- Should be flexible and have a go-to attitude.- Very good team player and able to be a team mentor- Able to drive a team or act as a SPOC (single point of contact)- Should be able to work independently- Capability to work under pressure & time management- Excellent communication & Interpersonal skills- Ready to accept challenges and timely deliver and good in relationship management skills.
