Job description
Capgemini is seeking a Director level Executive for the Senior Cloud Architect role in Insights and Data GBL.
1. Overall experience: 17+ years of IT experience, with 5+ years in enterprise or solution architecture.
2. Cloud & Big Data: 3+ years in designing Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) and Big Data solutions (Cloudera/Hortonworks/Spark/NoSQL/Streaming/MPP Databases/ML)
3. Project experience: 2 recent project experiences in Big Data and Cloud from opportunity initiation to end-to-end implementation.
4. Pre-Sales experience: Expected experience as pre-sales architect for responding to RFP, solutions, articulating scope/risks/assumptions/RACI, and doing effort and pricing estimation.
1. Specific Experiences:
a. Defining a modular architecture that can respond to current and future business requirements, business systems, and business processes evolving in the Insights & Data areas. Close familiarity with domain-driven design, microservices architecture, functional programming, and event-driven architecture.
b. Experience in working on projects managing complex and reducing risk and cost.
c. Ability to explain the understand the target solution in the project – derived from the functional and the non-functional requirements, understand the current position as well as the constraints (commercial, security, compliance, etc.) to devise the best (value for money, time, etc.) approach for understanding the route of achieving that target.
d. Experienced in at least one of industry-standard frameworks like TOGAF/ IAF/ NIST/ Zachman/ DODAF, etc
e. Knowledge of Enterprise Security, Data Management, and Data and Cloud platform Governance
f. Ability to engage in senior-level technology discussions and do account opportunity mining. Demonstrate a leadership role (as CTO, Chief Architect, Technical Advisor, Enterprise Architect) in ensuring that new and existing systems are aligned to architectural guidelines.
g. Ability to articulate pros & cons of “TO-BE” design/architecture decisions across a wide spectrum of factors. Should be able to clearly articulate the fitment, advantages and disadvantages of technologies and platforms
h. Work closely with the development team to size, scale and tune existing and new architecture.
i. The ideal candidate is proactive, shows an ability to see the big picture, and can prioritize the right work items to optimize the overall team output.
j. Should have worked in agile environments and well to have exposure to DevOps/DataOps/MLOps
2. Thought Leadership
a. Advisory role - Set technology direction, vision, and strategy to enable new I &D technology adoption. Experience of working with Technical Design Authority
b. Visibility: Social presence/persona, speeches, book critic/books, papers, conference presentations, academic lectures/faculty, and Internal Visibility through coaching and mentorships
c. Lead efforts to define cloud future state architectures and roadmaps including architecture standards, guidelines, and industry best practices
d. Collaborate with architects in BUs to ensure comprehensive and cohesive working solutions are developed across disciplines with Economic and technical value proposition
e. Should be able to benchmark systems, analyze system bottlenecks and propose solutions to eliminate them

b. Should be and good listener, logical and composed in explaining point of views.
c. Ability to work in collaborative, cross-functional, and multi-cultural teams
d. Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to generate stakeholder buy-in and lead through influence at a senior management level. Should be very good in negotiation skills and ability to handle conflict situations.
2. Certification will be added advantage: Architecture (eg. Togaf, SAFe, Zachman, IAF, etc), Cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure, Snowflake), Big Data (Cloudera, Databricks, MongoDB, Cassandra, Spark)
