Job description
Role Summary
The Business Continuity Specialist will work closely with the Business Continuity Manager to develop, maintain and implement business continuity management across WSP India. The individual will coordinate with the different functions and stakeholders to plan, conduct, and debrief regular mock-disaster exercises to test the adequacy of existing plans and strategies and update the procedures and plans regularly.
The Business Continuity Specialist will be responsible for end-to-end documentation on the BCMS framework and ensure that it is periodically updated and released in BMS.
Responsibilities
- Works closely with the Business Continuity Manager to develop and maintain a business recovery plan and procedure; reviews, revises, and expands existing plans and protocols.
- Assists the implementation and supports the development of a comprehensive business continuity strategy and programs.
- Assist in establishing a framework and methodology to manage all business continuity life cycle activities including risk assessments, business impact analysis, testing and review, plan maintenance and updates.
- Performs periodic risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities to the organization's operations. This includes analyzing the impact of various risks and developing mitigation strategies to reduce their likelihood or impact.
- Conduct periodic review, validation and workflow testing of documented business continuity plans.
- Collaborates with IT staff to develop and implement best practices to protect and restore data and systems in the event of natural disasters, viruses, and hackers.
- Creates and facilitates practice drills for plan execution.
- Develops and provides staff training on risk management and disaster recovery.
- Stay up to date with industry developments and best practices in business continuity management.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Key Competencies
- Certified ISO 22301 Lead Auditor/ Implementer
- Experience in operational risk and Business Continuity/ Disaster Recovery Management
- Good understanding of risk management.
- Hands-on in documenting and managing the BCMS documentation.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to effectively communicate with stakeholders across the organization.
- Ability to collaborate with others to develop Business Continuity Plan, Emergency plan
Mandatory Skills
- Experience with incident management, crisis management, and disaster recovery planning
- Business Continuity Management
- Experience in Business Impact Analysis (BIA)
- Project Management
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office 365

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in B.Tech, Business Administration or any preferred discipline
Experience
- Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience in this role
