Job Overview As a Manager, Credit and Collections, you will be responsible for leading credit and collections for Gainsight. This role reports to the Director, Global Accounting Shared Services and will have one direct report.
This role will be on our accounting team which cares a great deal about each other and meeting the needs of Gainsight. We partner together, while holding each other accountable, do our part to keep the team on track toward our overarching objectives. In this role we are looking for someone who completes tasks when they say they will and on time, superb analytical skills, experience with the collection cycle and attention to detail to ensure quality customer experience. This role will lead a team member in India and partner across time zones. It will require agility in working norms, a strong desire to lean in and proactive communication.

- Experience : 6+ years
Qualifications What We Are Looking For - Bachelor's or higher degree in Accounting/Finance is required, CPA is a plus.
- Minimum of 6+ years in credit and collection, billing and receivable procedures.
- Proven ability and understanding of effective collection techniques and credit analysis.
- Ability to provide leadership and guidance to motivate and develop staff.
- Knowledge or background with SasS business model preferred.
- Excellent analytical skills along with the ability to create and present detailed reports.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work closely with other departments and with staff at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent organization and time management skills with the ability to meet critical deadlines.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Knowledge and experience of ERP systems. Experience in Intacct or NetSuite is highly desired.
- Team management and negotiation skills.
Responsibilities What You'll Do Here - Responsible for managing collections, resolutions of disputes, improvement of days sales outstanding (DSO) and delinquency.
- Prepare and present weekly collection reports for senior management which address risk concentration, aging issues, etc.
- Perform credit evaluation on new customers and monitor existing customers adherence to payment terms and/or changes in financial stability and re-evaluate credit terms accordingly.
- Negotiate with clients in non-payment cases.
- Lead accounts receivable month-end reporting including reconciliations.
- Provide opportunities for process improvement, identify and set-up process/system controls to sustain implement changes and solutions.
- Draft policies and provide best practices for the team.
- Assist with implementation of NetSuite.
- Assist with annual audits.
- Stay updated on industry and legislative changes.
- Perform other assigned tasks.
