Position: Finance Manager
Location: Chennai
Role Overview:
As the Finance Manager of our startup, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company. Your role will be pivotal in shaping the financial strategy, ensuring financial stability, and driving growth through effective financial management.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute fundraising strategies, including seeking venture capital, angel investors, grants, or other sources of funding. Create compelling pitch materials and financial projections to attract potential investors.
Build and maintain comprehensive financial models to forecast revenue, expenses, and cash flow. Analyze financial data to provide insights and support strategic decision-making.
Monitor and manage the companys cash flow to ensure adequate funds are available for day-to-day operations. Implement cash management strategies to optimize liquidity and minimize financial risks.
- Budgeting and Financial Planning:
Develop and manage the annual budget, ensuring alignment with company goals. Work with department heads to create department-specific budgets and track budget performance.
Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Provide regular financial reports and KPIs to the executive team and board of directors.
- Sales Monitoring and Analysis:
Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to monitor sales performance and track key metrics. Analyze sales data to identify growth opportunities and areas for improvement.
Oversee all aspects of accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Identify and assess financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and data.
Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to develop long-term financial strategies and business plans. Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field (Masters degree or CPA is a plus).
Proven experience as a senior financial leadership role within a startup or high-growth company.
Strong financial modeling and analysis skills.
Excellent knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and tax laws. Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
Strategic thinker with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights. Strong leadership and team management skills.
