Job description
Qualification:
1. Bachelors degree in engineering or a related field. A Masters degree in engineering or a related field is often preferred.
2. At least 5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
3. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality management systems.
4. Familiarity with safety regulations and practices in a manufacturing environment.
5. Experience in a mechanical or electrical industry is preferred.
Day-to-day duties:
1. Planning and organizing production schedules to ensure that manufacturing targets are met.
2. Overseeing the production process to ensure that pumps are manufactured to the required quality standards and specifications.
3. Monitoring production costs and implementing measures to reduce wastage and increase efficiency.
4. Managing and motivating production staff to ensure that they are productive and work to high quality standards.
5. Implementing and maintaining safety procedures and practices to ensure that the production environment is safe for all workers.
6. Monitoring inventory levels and ensuring that raw materials and finished products are properly stored and accounted for.
7. Conducting regular inspections of equipment and machinery to ensure that they are well-maintained and functioning properly.
8. Implementing and maintaining quality management systems to ensure that pumps meet the required quality standards.
