Job description
CrowdStrike is looking for a Specialist - Revenue Operations . This position will report to the Assistant Accounting Manager . You will be required to interact within inter/intra teams in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining proactive, resourceful, and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. We are looking for those eager to bring in best practice processes, take on problems, and streamline processes for r evenu e accounting operations.
What Youll Do:
Review & share observations for proper revenue accounting of large deals with non-standard terms as per the ASC 606 guidance
Partner with cross functional teams (Deal Desk, Billing, and IT) to ensure all revenue agreements are properly recorded and revenue is accurately recognized in the accounting systems
Prepare 10-Q/10K disclosure schedules
Actively take part in the accounting close of subscription revenue by working directly with the cross functional teams in India and at the head office following the accounting guidance and the Company s revenue recognition policy
Maintain compliance with internal controls for revenue recognition and related balance sheet accounts as well as continuous review and improvement of revenue systems and business processes
Lead various ad-hoc process improvements and other systems update as well as automation initiatives
Prepare key metrics reporting for management regarding the team s performance as needed
What Youll Need
Strong understanding and minimum 5-8 years of working knowledge/experience of the U.S. GAAP revenue recognition standard ASC 606 in a SOX compliant environment
Master s degree in accounting from a reputable university with CA or CPA designation strongly preferred
In depth understanding and hands on experience of the revenue recognition of a global company with SaaS busines model
More than two years of experience of mentoring and directly managing a team of at least 3-5 members with diverse knowledge and experience levels
Ability to understand the system implications for revenue recognition from new or changes to product offerings as well as other system changes
Working knowledge and understanding of automation as well as business justifications, KPIs, initiatives and blockers
Experience with software packages including NetSuite, SalesForce.com, Tableau, and Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to take initiative while working in a dynamic environment across all levels of management and across functions and geographies
Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced, and fast-growing company where adaptability is imperative while maintaining high performance standards, passion for excellence and continuous improvement
Team player and effective communicator with all levels of management and cross functional organizations
