The opportunity

We are looking to expand our Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) advisory team and are presently seeking a passionate Senior Consultant with proficiency in the QHSE field to take advantage of a rewarding, long-term career opportunity. We anticipate that your unique voice and perception will contribute to making EY even better.

Your key responsibilities

As a Senior consultant, you will be part of a team of professionals with extensive consulting and industry experience. Leveraging your expertise and experience, we anticipate that you will provide valuable insights and solutions to clients in the QHSE area. Travel may be required when safe to do so or for critical business needs.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Effectively partner with the project teams and successfully deliver the assigned scope of work.
• Consistently deliver high quality work products exceeding the client expectations and meeting delivery timelines.
• Strengthen functional and technical consulting skills on QHSE, there by contributing to the development of your own and team's acumen and helping resolve our clients' QHSE challenges.
• Participate actively in workshops pertaining to QHSE.
• Play an active role in QHSE business development initiatives.
• Actively establish, maintain and strengthen internal and external relationships.
• Develop and groom team members for succession planning, as needed.

Skills and attributes for success

• Functional knowledge of QHSE domain such as strategy, operating model and governance, compliance audits, inspections and assessments, management system and certification support, digital transformation, policies & procedures, and training.
• Strong knowledge of QHSE regulations, standards, and leading practices (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, NBOSH, IOSH)
• Knowledge of digital platforms like SAP, Enablon, Sphera/Cority on QHSE will be valuable.
• Experience in benchmarking, and process mapping (flowcharts, process diagrams, etc.).
• Knowledge of Supply Chain and Operations – materials management, procurement and asset management across industry sectors is a plus.
• Familiarity with food safety management or ISO 22001 and ESG would be an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, reporting and problem-solving abilities.
• Good interpersonal skills with ability to build rapport with all stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills (both oral and written).
• Willing to work on Sunday to Thursday working week and support MENA timings (11AM – 8.30 PM IST), as preferred (supporting Middle East Clients)

To qualify for the role, you must have:

• 5-8 years of relevant work experience in QHSE space ((in line with the specific responsibilities, skills and attributes above).
• Experience working in at least 3 of the following industry/sectors: 
  • Energy
  • Infrastructure
  • Construction
  • Government & Public
  • Healthcare
• Consulting experience on QHSE will be an added advantage.
• Lead implementor/auditor certification pertaining to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
• BE/B-Tech/advanced diploma/master’s degree in engineering, sustainability, environmental science, and/or related academic major.
• Experience in ERP systems and tools like SAP, Enablon, Sphera/Cority, etc.
• Experience in Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Aris, Power Bi, Tableau, etc.

Ideally, you’ll also have

• IOSH/NEBOSH qualification

• ISO 22001 certification
• Project management certification
• ESG certification
• Lean, Six sigma certification
