Job Description
Engineering Product Quality (EPQ) is responsible for process and quality assurance of a project./Product.
Responsibilities include and not restricted to:
• Determination of quality strategy for the product.
• Creation and regular updating of product-related quality forecast (quality preview) and alignment of quality targets with product/project and business targets) with risk assessments and if necessary arrange measures and review their effectiveness.
• Independent evaluation of product-/process maturity (e.g.: reviews, PMAP, assessments (for example ASPICE, CMMI)...) and early escalation of risks in Q-organization.
• Alignment of Q-targets for products/projects with superior targets (e.g. GB, area, customer) and reporting to the defined superior level of the product/project as well as the superior Q-function.
• Preparation of quality report based on defined quality targets and KPI (e.g. SLA-Compliance).
• Duty to escalate if measures to achieve the Q-targets are not sufficient in her/his view.
• Release of SW-Release (e.g. for sample delivery, field tests) of in-house development and third-party components (external procurement, customer provision, OSS) from Q-perspective.
• Request systematical problem solving in case of deviations in the project
• Support of Project Manager regarding communication of quality relevant aspects to customers.
• Ensurance of Lessons Learned of previous projects and similar products
• Active support in planning and performing of Quality Gates (participant in QG) and critical view on QG assessment.
• Ensurance and participation in Lessons Learned Workshops for project completion.
• Verification, if software quality assurance activities (including reviews of software artifacts and security tests) are carried out as planned and whether the quality status corresponds to the prerequisites for the product release.
Qualifications
B.E / B. Tech in Electronics / E & C / Computer Science with / without Post Graduation, Post-graduation in Quality related topics (optional)
