Lattice Semiconductor is seeking a Staff Firmware Engineer who would be part of the team responsible for developing the Boot ROM and platform firmware for Lattice ASICs. Development of Boot ROM includes collaborating with the emulation and verification teams to thoroughly test the Boot ROM on emulation platform. After the chip is back from fabrication, the team will be responsible to bring-up the Boot ROM and thoroughly test all the functionality to identify and where possible implement workarounds and fixes for subsequent tape-outs.

Accountabilities:

• Be part of the team responsible for development, testing and validation of Artemis Boot ROM and CS partition emulation for A0 silicon.
• Adhere to industry best practices for secure and robust firmware development to deliver high quality, low defect Boot ROM and platform firmware.
• Maintain good turn-around times for defects with proper root cause analysis and well understood fixes that do not lead to undesired side-effects.

Required Skills

• Graduate degree in Computer Science or Telecommunications or similar engineering discipline
• An accomplished professional with more than 10+ years of experience in Firmware development in a Semiconductor company covering multiple product launches from concept to production.
  • Experience with at least one of bare-metal, RTOS, and Linux based product firmware.
  • Experience collaborating with RTL design, Verification & Applications teams will be an added plus.
  • Experience with pre and post-silicon emulation & product Firmware development leading to successful new product launch is desirable.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in an ever changing, fast paced and sometimes ambiguous environment.
• Experience and preference for working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Excellent communication skills and able to collaborate with engineers, product managers and peers.
