Role Description
The incumbent will be responsible for Compliance to all statutory and legal requirements, IMS Standards and the safety standards laid by Tata Steel, Maximizing Ropeway/ Long pipe conveyor availability, ensuring safety in truck transportation to Chainpur, Ensuring safety and Quality Maintenance, Meeting Safety and dispatch targets as per ABP and Driving improvement initiative in own area as per plan. Skills 001 Manage Safety, health and Environment measures at Plant to ensure adherence to statutory requirements Ensure adherence to all applicable Safety standards/ procedures by sub-ordinates/ contract employees Provide safe working condition as per Tata Steel sta ndards Implement Du Pont, DGMS, Tata Steel Safety standards Implement Positive Isolation and do Safety briefing, Job cycle checks and safety projects etc. as per safety action plan of the department. Facilitate implementation of total safety at Work site as per company norms 002 To manage the Ropeways maintenance activities/ Long pipe conveyor circuit as per customer department need to ensure timely availability, to execute and review monthly/quarterly planned maintenance activities of the department. To identify and implement me asures to improve employee productivity and to involve in spare planning activity. 003 To ensure reliable equipment performance to lower the equipment interruptions through effective use of condition monitoring techniques, improved maintenance practices. To ensure ropeways availability/ Long pipe conveyor circuit availability through analys is of chronic problems, identification of root cause and implementation of the short term and long-term preventive actions/recommendations. Identification and debottlenecking of constraint. 004 To Improve skill and knowledge of subordinates and Execute coaching and mentoring of subordinates. To involve and train people on TQM and 'Continuous Improvement' philosophy. To identify technical training needs and recommend suitable courses. Improvement initiatives - To Implement Kaizens and suggestions through GB, SIP / SGAs. To apply TQM principles viz Daily Management, TPM and Maintenance related of TBM and CBM. To manage human resources of Maintenance to have an engaged, competent team and enable a working environment that drives high performance, To plan and execute their developmental need, Ensure their involvement in Quality Improvement initiatives and Suggestion Management.
