Job description
We are seeking a Program Manager , to own and drive execution of initiatives and planning activities as part building a state-of-art Testing & Certification solution (NGS Next Generation Simulator). This is a high-profile role where you are responsible for managing the program that intends to deliver Authorization Transaction, File & API processing simulator used by Amex s customers (Merchants, Third-Party Processors, Network Acquirers, and Issuers).
Program Manager for NGS (Next Generation Simulator) will focus on the following key responsibilities:
- Contribute and maintain product roadmaps and execution of the roadmaps in close partnership with NAS Product Owners, Product & Partner Enablement(PPE), Acquirer Platform Transformation(APT), Global Acquisition Capabilities(GAC) team, Global Merchant & Network Policy, Global Merchant Services - Payment Consultants and Partner Business Solutions(PBS) team.
- Manage communication and status reporting of the program with all stakeholders and Leadership Team.
- Collaborate with rest of Solution Enablement & Distribution team to find synergies and drive forward engagement with Amex Technologies and external Technology vendor to plan development.
- Engage with and influence internal business unit leaders and partners to understand customer needs and pain points, collaborate on new/relevant product concepts, and co-develop solutions.
- Deliver monthly reports and KPIs to track progress of migration against the planned roadmap.
- Create and maintain Business Case in close partnership with stakeholders (PPE, GAC)
- Work with Policy, Legal, and Compliance teams to ensure the Product Development of POA Certification Solution ensures compliance with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Relevant experience: 5+ years of experience in Payments processing space
- Communication: Ability to break down complex technical concepts into simple business terms linked to a business strategy. You thrive at the intersection of tech and business and can straddle both worlds easily. You are an excellent communicator, orally and in written communication
- Execution focus: Proven track record of coordinating between Business, Delivery, and Technology teams to define, prioritize, and deliver on a product roadmap
- Entrepreneurial spirit: Ability to mobilize and lead cross-functional team collaboration to achieve results in a fast paced, multi-partner environment with constant change. Demonstrated track record for delivering results in complex and highly matrixed organizations
Following qualifications are preferred for the role:
- Working knowledge of Authorization & Settlement systems within Credit/Debit Payments Industry.
- Basic understanding of how data flows across distributed systems using File transfer, API, and real-time messages.
- Prior experience in Program Management, Managing & Maintaining Product/System roadmaps.
- Proven track record of building and nurturing relationships, managing partner expectations, and holding colleagues accountable.
- Ability to make informed and decisive recommendations regarding re-prioritization of work, clearing roadblocks, and enhancing delivery and operational processes.
